The technology of Semi-cloisonne:
The perfect process for the customer who requires high quality, competitive price and a wider rage of color options in that enamels can be mixed to create hundreds of Pantone color chart and translucent variations.
Semi-Cloisonne pins are made with essentially the same method except brilliant colored resins are used instead of powdered glass in the filled areas. There are almost unlimited colors available because of the resins. Fired and then highly polished, this process can reveal excellent detail.
A very excellent substitute for Cloisonne, but less expensive, epola pins or called New Cloisonne, Cloisonne II and Semi-Cloisonne, have been around for about two decades. Cloisonne can only use a handful of colors but semi-enamel cloisonne pins can have over 1,000 Pantone colors used in the making of the pin, and also cheaper to make and offer a faster turnaround time.
It is perfect for almost any occasion from employee recognition to school award programs to club membership pins.
How They Are Made:The Product is stamped from a piece of metal. The design layout would be engraved in the mold, and the side frame and the cutting edge of the pin or badge is cut by another mold. It is then colored by a kind of epoxy compound, and put into the heater to solidify the material. In addition, each piece of the polish enamel products is stone-sanded and hand-polished, and would be subject to quality inspection throughout the manufacturing process. For proper quality control, all items are subject to at least three quality inspections before shipment. The first quality inspection is conducted by the packing department immediately after the products are finished. The second inspection would be conducted by the warehouse staff for acceptance, and the final inspection would be conducted by the sale staff before they could be shipped out.
